Bani Murra – Yemen

A new chapter is being written for specialty coffee in Yemen and we are proud to be working with leaders in the Yemeni coffee community who are keen on seeing the benefits of international trade spread across their value chain.

This absolute star of an espresso comes to us from Abdallah Al Jarmozi at 2400 meters above sea level this lot was natural processed on raised drying beds. The cup is bursting with mountain honey, fresh cream and vanilla notes that are true to iconic Yemeni coffees.

Abdullah Al Jarmozi and his family along with 4 of his kids rely entirely on cultivating coffee and they are a very active coffee producing family in Yemen. Abdullah and his brothers who are also coffee farmers inherited all of their coffee knowledge from their father. Abdullah is well known in Bani Murra for creating coffee seedlings and distributing them to other farmers. Abdullah is considered a quality conservator of the valley, and a leader in the coffee community west of San’aa.

It is a pleasure and an honor to bring you this Yemeni gem.
